JEAN SHARKEY

Mary Jean Sharkey, 84, formerly of St. Clairsville, Ohio died November 27, 2018 in Glenwood Care Center, Dublin, Ohio.

She was born May 3, 1934 in St. Clairsville, daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Filicky Gabel.

Jean was retired from Riesbeck's Food Market in St. Clairsville. She loved crocheting and knitting hats and toboggan's and donating them for the less fortunate and giving them as gifts for her family and friends. Her other interests included traveling and gardening flowers, fruits and vegetables.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Sharkey; a sister, Judy Dyer and her uncle, Charles Gabel.

Surviving are her brother, Tom "Tommy" (Betty) Gabel of Osterander, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Debbie (Larry) Slone of Marysville, Tom (Vicky) Gabel, Eric Gabel both of Osterander, Ohio, Julie Morrison of Pickerington, Ohio, Jon (Paula) Dyer of Lewis Center, Ohio and Sheryl Dyer of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; special friends, Catherine Hale, Donna Grayhem and Jean Kendzora; several great nieces and great nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Saturday, Dec. 1 ^st from 11 a.m. until time of memorial service at Noon with Rev. Tom Jones officiating.  Private burial will be held in Union Cemetery, St. Claisville.
