Mary Louise Chuckery Pruneski, 92, formerly of Maynard, Ohio, died September 2, 2022, at the Sanctuary at Tuttle Crossing in Dublin, Ohio.
She was born February 23, 1930, in Maynard, a daughter of the late Walter and Bertha Vicker Chuckery.
Mary Lou and Joe Pruneski were together for 53 years and were very proud of and loved spending time with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed vegetable gardening and canning, sewing and crocheting, and cooking and baking. She created a beautiful ceramic Nativity set that is now a family heirloom. She served as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector for the parish. Her family loved her small nutrolls, pierogies, and cabbage rolls.
She is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was a former active member of the former St. Stanislaus Church in Maynard where she was a member of the Catholic Women's Club, a member of the former Maynard Community VFD Auxiliary, and she was a current member of the Maynard PNA Lodge #455.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Paul Pruneski and a son Lawrence "Larry" Pruneski; a son-in-law, Thomas Richardson; a sister, Jean Rinkes; and a brother-in-law, Eugene Mendyka.
Mary Lou is survived by her three children, Joseph R. (Bonnie) Pruneski, Annette Richardson and Michelle (David) Hawkins; a daughter-in-law, Lynne Pruneski; a sister, Helen Marie Mendyka; 8 grandchildren, Tom (Kathy) Richardson, Lisa (P.J.) Fox, Brian (Kasey) Richardson, Angela (Mike) House, Julie (Nathan) DeLong, Michael (Erin) Pruneski, Lauren (Adam) Barton, and Sara (Ross) Johnson; and 15 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 11:30 a.m., with Father Thomas Chillog as the celebrant. PNA Services and burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Clairsville Area Council of Churches Food Pantry or the Alzheimer's Association.
