Obituary
Proger, Mary Elizabeth, 83 of Stewartsville, Ohio died Monday, March 26, 2012 at her home.
She was born April 10, 1928 in Key, Ohio, a daughter of the late William Powell and Bertha Bates Powell.
Mary was a member of Clarksburg United Methodist Church, she loved gardening, canning, and mowing grass.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Proger; brothers and sisters, James Gillespie, William Powell, Mildred Bonchu, Herbert Powell, and Rose Unterzuber.
Surviving are four children, Phyllis (Jim) Frasher of Wellington, Ohio, Betty Jo (Bill) Passmore of Stewartsville, Alex "Butch" Proger of Stewartsville, and Anthony (Jodi) Proger of Stewartsville; 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Larry Helms officiating.
Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
