Palmer, Mary M., 76 of Willow Grove Rd., Bellaire, Ohio died Friday, August 21, 2009 at the home of her daughter Mary in Martins Ferry.

She was born at Bellaire on June 22, 1933 a daughter of the late John E. and Lela Schaffer Johnson.

Mary was a homemaker, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Palmer, Sr.; a sister, Betty Lou Johnson and sons-in-law, Raymond F. Scott and Jeffrey Carvoo.

She is survived by her children, Mary M. (Bill) Meager, Lela F. Carvoo, John T. Palmer, Junior L. (Crystal) Palmer, Marshal A. (Gina) Palmer, Stephen Palmer, Thomas L. Palmer, Jr. and Richard W. (Tersa) Palmer; 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, Ohio on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Bellaire.
