Mary E. Shields Oboy, 81, of Morristown, Ohio died December 1, 2018 in Lakeland Regional Hospital, Lakeland, Florida.

She was born May 22, 1937 in St. Clairsville a daughter of the late Arthur and Georgianna Martin Shields.

Mary was a former employee of L.S. Goods and owned and operated a catering and floral business.  She was a member of Topps, the Maynard Bunco Club, AARP and Maynard PNA Lodge 455.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant sons; two sisters, Thelma Crape and Emma Headen; and four brothers, Martin, Thomas, Robert and John Shields.

Surviving are her companion of 25 years, Jack Edwards; an adopted daughter, three stepchildren and several step grandchildren; a brother, James (Kathy) Shields of Sunnyvale, California and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, January 6 ^th at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville from 2 p.m. until time of memorial service at 4 p.m. with Wayne Clark officiating.
