Mary I. Meske, 88 of Hutchinson Drive, St. Clairsville died Monday, May 31, 2004 at Forest Hill Nursing Home, St. Clairsville.

Mary was born at Key, Ohio May 21, 1916 a daughter of the late Chalmer Raymond Luyster and Etta May Stonebraker Luyster.

She was a retired office clerk for the CAC of Belmont County and a former secretary in the Agriculture office at the Belmont County Court House. Mary was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Hilltoppers Senior Citizens both at St. Clairsville and the AARP.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Loren Earl Luyster.

She is survived by her husband, Charles R. Meske; a daughter, LuAnn Kennedy of Wheeling; a son, Richard Meske of Columbus and a sister, Eleanor Kozsuch of Texas.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, St. Clairsville with Rev. Homer Harden officiating. Burial will follow in Belmont County Memorial Park, St. Clairsville.
