Kildow, Mary Ruth, 79, of St. Clairsville, died October 12, 2009 in Wheeling Hospital.
She was born October 2, 1930 in St. Clairsville, daughter of the late Joseph Mitchell Howell and Mary Edna Penrose Howell.
She was a homemaker and a retired operator from Ohio Bell. She was a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church and a former Poll Worker for the Belmont County Board of Elections. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching all sports on television, with the Pittsburgh Steelers being her favorite team.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Kildow; and a sister, Geraldine Diab.
Surviving are her seven children, Richard W. (Mary) Kildow of Little Falls, New Jersey, Roger W. Kildow of St. Clairsville, Jill (Bud) Orr of St. Clairsville, Carrie Kildow of St. Clairsville, Jeff Kildow of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Scott (Denise) Kildow of Galloway, Ohio and Sue (Joe) Miller of Wheeling, West Virginia; a sister, Peg Davis of St. Clairsville; nine grandchildren, Mitchell Kildow, Eric Orr, Jennifer Orr, Alison Ross, Steven Kildow, Heidi Pempek, Anna Pempek, Sarah Miller and Jacob Miller; three great grandchildren, Katelyn, Sabrina and Evan.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until time of services at 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, with Rev. Dr. Bradley Call officiating. Private committal services will be held at the convenience of the family in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
