GOSSETT, Mary "Marcella", 86, of Flushing, Ohio died Sunday, January 6, 2013 at her home.

She was born in Holloway, Ohio on July 17, 1926, daughter of the late Earl Jackson and Mary Gilmore Jackson.

Marcella was a homemaker and maintained a spotless home. She was a member of Flushing Christian Church; she was an avid bowler and had a love for music.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William Edwin Gossett Jr.; five brothers, Homer, Richard, Arthur, Earl Jr. and Robert Jackson; four sisters, Aretha Mae Jackson, Marjorie Jackson, Dorothy Kahl and Margaret Jones.

Surviving are her husband of 67 years, William E. Gossett Sr.; daughter, Jane (James) Brown of Bethesda; a son, Earl Lyle (Debbie) Gossett of Barnesville; a daughter-in-law, Fern Gossett of Flushing; a sister, Mulvena Saffell of Flushing; 7 grandchildren, Jodi McGuire, Jimmy Brown, Bruce Gossett, Erin Perlman, Brian Gossett, Adam Gossett and Nathan Gossett; 16 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Robert Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial Contributions may be made to the Flushing Christian Church.
