Obituary

Denham, Mary Elizabeth age 83, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Friday, December 24, 2010 at Park Health Nursing Home after battling progressive dementia for nine years.

She was born October 28, 1927 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Charles and Elizabeth (Vandyne) Winesburg.

Mary was a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who was adored by many. She was a member of the Thoburn United Methodist Church, and a retired telephone operator for Chesapeake and Potomac Phone Company.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Woods, and Anna Mae Yensen; and brothers, Kenneth Winesburg, and Robert Winesburg.

She is survived by her loving husband, Harry L. Denham of St. Clairsville, married October 18, 1947; sister, Dorothy Swingle of North Canton, OH; brother, Charles Winesburg of Fort Smith, AR; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Jack Grayhem of St. Clairsville; son and daughter-in-law, Harry and Elaine Denham of St. Clairsville; grandchildren, Scott, Pam, Becky, and Ryan; and great-granddaughter Rylee.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home, 141 South Marietta St., St. Clairsville, Ohio, where services will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Bradley Call officiating; burial to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
