Obituary

Mary Ellen Grant Boston, 82, of Jacobsburg, Ohio, passed away June 2, 2014 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV. Mary was born October 17, 1931 in Glencoe, Ohio, daughter of the late James Morris Grant and Fredericka Ann Fulst Grant Coen.

She worked for many years in the family business, Boston Construction. She was a wonderful cook, making many favorite recipes for her extended family. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, baking, and spending time with her family, her dog Sassy and granddog Max.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James "Earl" Boston; step-father, William Jacob Coen, and siblings: James Joseph Grant, William Edward Grant, Cora Mildred McKeag, Peter Howard Grant, David Morris Grant, Robert Rudolph Grant, Charles Frederick Grant, Paul Matthew Grant, Loretta Margaret Grant, Clara Louise Fulst, Josephine Genevieve Jackson, Anna Mae Fisher, Ethel "Eileen" McConnell, John Ulysses Grant and Nellie Frances Bell.

She is survived by a nephew she raised as a son, Robert Grant, Jr.; Siblings: Elizabeth "Betty" Snyder, Katherine Marie Koogenrich, Thomas Grant, Thelma Barton, Rossie Vaughn Barr and Judith Perigloisi; a brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Jack and Darlene Boston of Neffs, Ohio and many close nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m., with Father Dan Heusel officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery in Centerville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley.
