Obituary

Marvin Dean "Bud" Parker, 88, of Centerville, Ohio died July 19, 2020 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.

He was born September 23, 1931 in Centerville, Ohio, a son of the late Scott Parker and Marie Nalley Parker.

Bud was a retired employee from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Trucking Dept. for 26 years and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, baseball, and traveling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Helen Parker; a sister, Bonnie Doak and a brother, Gary Parker.

Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Ada Gay Goodson Parker; a son, Dean (Julia Ann) Parker; three grandsons, Matthew, Eric and Andrew Parker; five brothers, Jim, Jerry, Scotty, Joey and Marty Parker; two sisters, Ramona Lafollette and Sandi Jordan; numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a Private Visitation for family will be held at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio on Thursday from 5 – 8 p.m. where social distancing and facial coverings will be required. Private service will be held at the convenience of the family Friday. Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association in Holly Memorial Gardens with entombment following.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Smith Twp. Fire Dept or Centerville Community & Senior Center.
