Obituary

SAFFELL, Marvelyn Kathryn, 75, of East Captina Highway, Jacobsburg died August 12, 2013 at Liza's Place in Wheeling, WVa. She was born at Powhatan Point, January 31, 1938 daughter of the late Clyde and Pauline Richardson Stottlemyer.

Marvelyn was a homemaker and member of Amity United Methodist Church at Steinersville. She was an Advisor for the Indianola 4-H Club for over 40 years; she was a Belmont County Fair Board Member; a Girl Scout Leader and a member of Captina Chapter 489 Order of Eastern Star in Powhatan Point.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald D. Saffell; a grandson, Michael Alan Johnson; 2 brothers, Charles and Kenneth Stottlemyer.

Surviving are her 4 daughters, Debra (Roger) Ogilbee, Denise Johnson and Ronda Imhoff all of Powhatan Point and Karen (Jim) Bryan of Delaware, Ohio, 11 grandchildren; Ross (Breezie) Ogilbee, Duane, and Ryan (fiancée, Jessica Adams) Obilbee; Alana (Don) Hendershot; Corey, Ashley, Randa and Courtney Imhoff; Kelsi, Preston and Emily Bryan; 4 great grandchildren, Raegan and Griffin Hendershot, Hunter and Hannah Ogilbee; 10 brothers and sisters, Vicci (Lee) Biles, Patti (Jeff) Daniels, Bobbi Stottlemyer (Jim), Pixie (Bill) Boltz, John (Jo Lynn) Stottlemyer, Mike (Janice) Stottlemyer, Cathi Darrah, Pam (Ronnie) Hartley, Diana (Donald) Mollett and Sherri (Denny) Deskins; a sister-in-law, Margie (Tom) Lucas; 22 nieces and nephews; 48 great nieces and nephews; 5 great great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and again on Thursday from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. with Eastern Star Services at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Services will be held at Amity United Methodist Church in Steinersville on Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Theresa Bobot officiating. Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
