Martha Ann Underwood, 82 of Jacobsburg, Ohio died Monday, April 16, 2018 at Wheeling Hospital.

She was born April 24, 1935 in Jacobsburg, a daughter of the late John Helsley and Vera Hicks Helsley.

Martha was a Methodist and a UMWA Auxiliary member.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis E. Underwood, Sr.; sisters, Wilda Harrigan and Elda Loughman; great granddaughter, Abigail McAfee.

Surviving are her children, Louis E. "Bud" (Kathy) Underwood of Jacobsburg, Darla (Roger) Sickles of Newcomerstown, Tammy Haines of Jacobsburg, John (Sherry) Underwood of Belmont, Noreen (Mark) Brunner of Jacobsburg, Eldon (Beth Ronovich) Underwood of Powhatan Point, and Mark Steven (Lori) underwood of Holloway; brother, John Helsley of West Alexander, PA; sister Shirley Jeffers of Glencoe; 22 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and one on the way.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Thursday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. with Wayne Clark officiating.

Burial follows in Armstrong Cemetery, Armstrongs Mills, Ohio.
