Lazor, Martha Mae, 81, of Piedmont, Ohio formerly of Mingo Junction died Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at her home.
She was born March 17, 1928 in Lumberport, W.Va., a daughter of the late Earl Carpenter and Pearl Grogg Carpenter.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Barton, a member of St. Clairsville American Legion Post 159 Ladies Auxiliary, and former president of Mingo Junction American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Fredericks; an infant brother.
Surviving are her husband William "Bill" Lazor; two daughters, Karen (Mike) Homol of Steubenville and Chris (Dale) Bonnett of Belmont; nine grandchildren, Michael (Kasey) Homol, Rebecca (Philip) Rook, Bernadette (Adam) Meyer, April (Mike) McCann, Anna (Mike) Hahn, Jonathan, Christina, and Mary Homol, Sarah Bonnett; 14 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral Divine Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Barton, Ohio with the Very Rev. Michael Kabel officiating. Burial follows in St. Nicholas Cemetery.
There will be a funeral service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and a Panachida service at 9:15 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home.
