GILLI, Martha, 93, of Lafferty, died on her 93rd birthday, Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry.

She was born April 6, 1918 in Morristown, Ohio, daughter of the late Ray and Elsie Humphrey.

Martha was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Morristown Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Gilli; a sister, Katie Roudebush and a brother, Elton Humphrey and one granddaughter.

Surviving are a brother, Roger (Doris) Humphrey of Canton; her daughter and caregiver, Carol Gilli of Lafferty; 3 sons, James of Lafferty, Charles (Frances) of St. Clairsville and Jerry (Janice) of Lafferty; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received to celebrate her life on Thursday, April 7th from 3 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Robert Merritt officiating. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in St. Clairsville.
