Obituary
Martha Jane Dale, age 89, of St. Clairsville, formerly of Flushing, died Sunday, June 29, 2014 in Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV.
She was born February 10, 1925 in New Athens, Ohio, daughter of the late Clyde F. and Lillie Henderson Secrest.
Martha was retired from Cloverland Dairy and a former employee of the Community National Bank of Flushing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl William Dale Sr.; a son, Thomas Allen Dale; a grandson, Kenneth B. Dale; a brother, Clyde Allen Secrest; and two sisters, Mary Alice Romshak and Gertrude "Trudy" Yemich.
Martha is survived by a son, Carl W. (Jeri) Dale Jr. of St. Clairsville; daughter-in-law, Connie Dale of St. Clairsville; four grandchildren, Matthew T. (Courtney) Dale, Danielle L. Compté, Jason T. (Sherry) Dale and Scott W. Dale; ten great grandchildren; a sister, Sue McCue of Cadiz; several loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, and again on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jon Little officiating. Burial will follow in Longview Cemetery, New Athens.
