Marlys Joann "Mimi" Smith, 85, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died August 18, 2020 in Wheeling Hospital.

She was born April 27, 1935 in Waseca, Minnesota, a daughter of the late Arthur Sophy and Lucille Curley Sophy Conway.

Marlys was a registered nurse and director of nursing for many years in Belmont County and in Texas. She retired as a customer service representative from Sam's Club. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Darlene Hunt and Marilynn Brooks and three brothers, William Conway, Merle Sophy and Richard Sophy.

Surviving are three children, Beth (David) Feller, Laura Smith and Eric Smith; two sisters, Connie Ohms and Barbara Morgan; four grandchildren, Rachel (Cory) Mitchell, Callie Radcliff, April Harlan and Gauge Costello; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no public services.  Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
