Mark Elliot Montgomery, 67, of Jacobsburg, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, West Virginia.  He was born December 12, 1956 in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late Lee E. and Nancy M. "Tessy" Martin Montgomery.

Mark retired from the Shadyside School District as a maintenance worker mainly in the Bus Garage serving for 32 years and was a Methodist by faith.

Mark was a member of Weyer Lodge F & AM of Centerville, Ohio, the Ohio Valley Old Iron Power Club and a former firefighter with Spirit of 76 Station and the OR & W Volunteer Fire Station of Shadyside, Ohio.  He loved his John Deere Tractors and his favorite dog, John Deere.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Matthew A. Montgomery in 2023.

Surviving are the love of his life for 17 years, Nancy Cook of Jacobsburg; his daughter, Amanda S. (Vern) Montgomery of Jacobsburg; two step daughters, Kelly (Dennis) Christensen of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Hillary Novak of Bellaire; a sister, Susan Lewis of Florida; five grandchildren, Adam Montgomery, John Novak, Tristan Novak, Carlin Montgomery and Lila Grace Novak.

As per his wishes, no visitation of services are planned.  Final arrangement will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Toothman Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.
