Marie H. Gibson, 84 of Orchard Drive, St. Clairsville, Ohio died Thursday, July 10, 2003 at Wheeling Hospital. She was born September 2, 1918 at Whitwell, TN a daughter of the late Charles Perry and Elizabeth Ann Campbell Young.

Marie was a graduate of Whitwell High School at Whitwell, TN. She was a member of the Church of Christ at St. Clairsville and was a devoted volunteer for several local and national charitable organizations.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, George B. Gibson; three sisters and two brothers.

Surviving are her son Richard D. Gibson of St. Clairsville; her daughter, Joy Beth Pempek of Lexington, KY and her grandson, Virgil Lee Pempek.

Friends will be received on Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Everett Hutson officiating. Burial follows in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens at Westover, WV.
