Obituary

GOLETZ, Marianne Dorsch, 75, of Maynard, Ohio, died Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Wheeling Hospital just four days following her husband, Frank's death who paved the way for her entrance into Heaven. She was born May 20, 1937 at Clarksburg, West Virginia, daughter of the late William J. and Angela Vogt Dorsch.

Marianne was a homemaker and retired from the Maynard Co-Op. She was a graduate of the former St. Joseph's Academy now Wheeling Catholic Central. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church; the Catholic Women's Club; a member of the American Legion Post 666 Auxiliary both in Maynard; the Better Breather's Club; and a member of the Maynard Bunco Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Frank A. Goletz ; and a sister-in-law, Jeanette Korpita Dorsch.

Surviving are her six children, Jeannie Goletz, Michael (Michelle) Goletz, Susan (Bob) Slevin, Jay (Julie) Goletz, Molly (Dave) Siefert and Rick (Carrie) Goletz; a brother, William J. Dorsch Jr.; seven grandchildren, Kelly Slevin, Kristi (Andy) Giesler, Bobby Slevin, Keenan Goletz, Rebecca Goletz, Jacqueline Goletz and Nathan Siefert; two great grandsons, Braydan and Kelan Giesler.

Family and Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.

A Vigil Service will be held Sunday at 2:45 p.m. followed by a Divine Mercy Service at 3:00 p.m., a Legion Auxiliary Service will be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 12 p.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Maynard with Father Thomas Graven the celebrant. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wheeling Catholic Central Scholarship Fund or American Lung Association or Maynard Community Vol. Fire Dept. or St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
