Marian Kusic's Obituary
Marian Jane Och Kozel Kusic, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015.
She was born on March 18, 1927 in Wheeling West Virginia, daughter of the late Frederick and Adabelle Davis Och.
Marian was preceded in death by Lt Commander William John Kozel, husband and father to their four children and her second husband, Nick Kusic, who lovingly raised "All those children". Also preceding her were brother and sister, Robert and Joann Och and son in law Edward Filicky.
A graduate of Bridgeport high school, Marian attended Ohio Wesleyan University as a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. In addition to raising her family, which always came first, She enjoyed many friendships, volunteering at the hospital, Carnation Twig, Girl Scouts, Bridge Club, Red Hats, golf, swimming at the lake, beach vacations, rearranging furniture and last but not least, ICE CREAM.
She is survived by her children William R. Kozel (Annette), Frederick P Kozel (Meri), Karen Sue Wison (Willliam), George M. Kozel, Connie Daugherty (Cecil), Nikki Filicky, fifteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and counting.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., with a vigil service at 3:45 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Father Thomas Chillog the Celebrant.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's School or OVMC.
