Elerick, Maria J., 28, of Los Angeles, California, formerly of St. Clairsville, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008 at her home. She was born Oct. 4, 1980 in Wheeling, West Virginia, daughter of Luke Elerick and Linda Shelton Elerick.

Maria was a former receptionist at Snips Hair Designers in St. Clairsville and she was member of St. Mary?s Church in St. Clairsville.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John Shelton.

Maria is survived by her parents, Luke (Janet) Elerick of Jacobsburg and Linda Shelton Elerick of Los Angeles, California; a brother, John Elerick of Los Angeles, California; her paternal grandparents, Paul J. and Letha Elerick; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 2 p.m. at the Fairpoint Mennonite Church in Fairpoint, Ohio with Rev. Darrell McVay officiating. A private family interment will be held later in Unity Cemetery, New Athens, Ohio. Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville is in charge of arrangements.
