Margaret Geraldine "Gerry" Dopkiss Sikora, 85, of North Carolina, died April 7, 2022, in Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Center.

She was born July 29, 1936, in Maynard, Ohio, a daughter of the late Frank J. Dopkiss and Alma M. Applegarth Dopkiss.

Gerry was a retired insurance claims processor having worked for FW Arnold in Massillon, Ohio and Aetna in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a Methodist by faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert "Chick" Sikora; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Jean Dopkiss; a brother-in-law, Joseph Zusack; and two nieces, Renee Zusack and Melinda Dopkiss.

Gerry is survived by her son, Terence R. Sikora of Charlotte, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Emma Grace Sikora and Robert Slade Sikora; a brother, Frank W. Dopkiss of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Marilee Dopkiss Zusack of St. Clairsville; a twin brother, George Gerald (Nancy) Dopkiss of St. Clairsville, Ohio; nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Maynard United Methodist Church in Maynard, Ohio on Saturday, April 16, 2022, from 10 a.m. until time of service at Noon with Pastor Al Hoder officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.

In lieu of flowers, a charitable donation may be made to the International Justice Mission.
