Margaret D. Brooks, 83 of Powhatan Point, Ohio died Thursday, November 2, 2006 at Belmont Community Hospital, Bellaire.

She was born at Powhatan Point on June 28, 1923 a daughter of the late Everett and Vida Wheeler Armann.

Margaret was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Brooks a daughter, Wilda Jackson; brothers Oscar, Roy and John Armann and a sister Lois Loomis.

She is survived by a son, Ronnie Brooks of Powhatan Point; daughters Abbie Krempasky, Margie Phillips and Virginia Brooks all of Powhatan Point and Esther Franklin of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; sisters Ruth Hale of Spring City, Maryland; Evelyn Brooks of Beallsville; Mary Sandlin of Miamisburg, Ohio and Jean Galavich of Powhatan Point; 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg, Ohio where services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Hendrik officiating. Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
