Marcia Joan Covert Williams, 76 of Flushing, Ohio died Friday, December 21, 2018 at her home.

She was born June 18, 1942 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late Howard and Ethel VanBriggle Covert.

Marcia was a retired Registered Nurse having graduated from Ruth Brant School of Nursing, Martins Ferry Hospital in 1963. She was a former employee of Harrison Community Hospital and several local nursing homes.

She was a member of the Flushing United Methodist Church, serving our Lord in many positions within the church as well as District Treasurer of the United Methodist Women.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Charles "Dick" Williams whom she wed December 7, 1963; and two brothers, Bob and Bill Covert.

Surviving are two sons, Lt. Col (R), Kevin Williams of Flushing, and Dr. Charles (Susie) Williams of Maryville, TN; sisters, Betty Jean Foster and Judy Kelley of Cadiz; gradkids, Brittany (Tim) Johnson, John (Micahlene) Williams, Peter Williams, Todd Williams, Chauntelle Williams, and CJ Williams; a great grandchild, Evan Williams; many loving and caring nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Wednesday from 1 to 5:30 p.m. and again on Thursday at the Flushing United Methodist church from 11 a.m. until time of service a 1 p.m. with Pastor Al Hoder officiating.  Burial follows at Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing.
