BALLOG, Madeline H. Kanopsic, 100, of Maynard Rd., St. Clairsville, Ohio, died on her birthday Saturday, November 17, 2012 in Cumberland Pointe Care Center.
She was born November 17, 1912 in Provident, Ohio, daughter of the late Anthony F. and Harriet Dubitis Kanclier.
Madeline was a homemaker and former employee of Belmont Hills Country Club and Riesbeck's Market in St. Clairsville. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Maynard and member of the Catholic Women's Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Kanopsic; second husband, John A. Ballog; a son, Tom Kanopsic; and a brother, John Kanclier.
Surviving are two grandchildren, Cathy Maine of Columbus and John Kanopsic of New Athens; two great grandchildren, Brittney Ellis Behrens and Mary Kanopsic; a brother, Anthony Kanclier of Ashland, Oregon; nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Maynard with Father Thomas Graven the celebrant. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
