Mabel-Jo Christina Palmer, 57 of Newark, Ohio formerly of Centerville died Saturday, August 26, 2006 at her home.

She was born at Neffs on November 23, 1948 a daughter of the late Nathan and Mabel Penberthy Wilson.

Mabel-Jo was a Homemaker, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 626 at Bellaire, an honorary member of the Red Hat Society and was a pitcher in the Women?s Softball leagues around the valley for many years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Scott Palmer and a sister, Lora Mae Abbott.

She is survived by her husband Lester W. Palmer, Jr.; her children Erin Donato of Jacobsburg; Darryl Palmer of Shadyside and Christopher Palmer of Newark; brothers Nathan Wilson of Belleville, Illinois; Homer Wilson of Bethesda; Danny Wilson of Akron; Philip Wilson of Belmont and Herb Wilson of Beallsville; sisters Sue Ellen Dilly of Jacobsburg and Mindy Sayre of Belmont; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg, Ohio on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens at Pleasant Grove.
