Margaret June Roth Stack Hughes, 72, of St. Clairsville, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family.

She was born June 8, 1952, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a daughter of the late Michael Roth Jr. and Margaret Applegarth Roth.

June was a retired employee from Wheeling Hospital and formerly worked at OVMC in Wheeling. She was a 1971 graduate of St. Clairsville High School. She was a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church. June enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandsons.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Michal Ann Roth, a brother, Michael W. Roth; three nephews, James Roth, Josh Roth and Sean Byrne.

June is survived by her husband, Richard Hughes; two children, David (Chrissy) Stack and Amy (Brent) Marvin; two grandsons, Luke and Landon Stack; a brother, David (Betty) Roth; three sisters, Nancy (Jim) Bintz, Diane (Luis) Cepeda and Lynn (Doug) Byrne; a sister-in-law, Debbie Roth; nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Sunday, September 29th from 1-3 p.m. and 5 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m., with Pastor Bill Wendell officiating.
