Louise M. Williams, 80 of Reservoir Rd. formerly of Taylor Lane, St. Clairsville died Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at Forest Hill Nursing Home, St. Clairsville. She was born at Barnesboro, PA on August 4, 1922 a daughter of the late Bernard and Gertrude Shay Shortencarier.

Lou was a retired registered nurse, a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church, St. Clairsville was an alumnus of Syracuse University and served with the U. S. Army as a nurse in France and Belgium during World War II.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred A. Williams, Sr. and a brother, Robert Shortencarier.

Surviving are her son Fred A. Williams, Jr. of St. Clairsville her daughters, Beverly Farrow of Mechanicsburg, PA and Cathy Johnston of Bloomfield Hills, MI; one brother James Shortencarier of Albuquerque, NM and her grandchildren, Brent and Heidi Jo Williams; Peter and Emily Johnston.

Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville where Vigil Services will be held at 4 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary?s Catholic Church, St. Clairsville. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
