Berus, Louis H. 93, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Friday, May 21 at East Ohio Regional Hospital.
He was born at Bridgeport, Ohio on December 5, 1916 a son of the late Frank and Antonia Yerin Berus.
Lou was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburg Steel?s Martins Ferry Plant, a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church at St. Clairsville where he was a member of the St. Francis Society. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus Counsel #4243 at St. Clairsville, the SNPJ and KSKJ Lodges at Bridgeport and was an Army veteran of World War II.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Joe, Frank, John, Martin, Rudy, Bill, Tony, Mike, Max and Raymond Berus his twin brother Pete Berus; sisters, Ann Bott and Mary Perko.
He is survived by his wife, Mary A. Bradac Berus; a daughter Karen Morris of Bellaire; sons Michael Berus of Harleysville, PA and Gregory Berus of Pine Bluff, AR; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 where a vigil service will be held at 4:00 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus Rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary?s Catholic Church, St. Clairsville with Fr. Bradley Greer officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
Military honors will be conducted by the Belmont Co. Council of American Legions at the church following Mass.
