Loretta M. Ludwig, 86, of Grays Ridge, St. Clairsville, died at Wheeling Hospital on Wednesday, October 15, 2014.

She was born in Bellaire, Ohio, on January 21, 1928, daughter of the late Edward and Margaret McDaniel Peyton.

Loretta was a homemaker and enjoyed crafts, ceramics, woodworking and crocheting. She was a Bridgeport High School graduate.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Joseph Ludwig in 2001; three brothers, Henry, Bill and Ed Peyton.

Surviving are her children, Linda Hull of Maynard, Don Ludwig of Pittsburgh and Kami Wines of St. Clairsville; seven grandchildren; Staci Armstrong of Bridgeport, Matthew Frankovich of Maynard, Seth Hull of Canton, Cari Ludwig-Phillips of Pittburgh, Brian Ludwig of Pittsburgh, Andrea Wines of Colorado and Cody Wines of St. Clairsville; eight great grandchildren, Ashley, Tim, Kayla, A.J., Caden, Ava, Christian and Holden; a great great granddaughter, Hannah; four sisters, Mary Myers, Jane Miscencik, Jean Vargas and Betty Peyton.

Family and friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Wayne Ickes officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
