Lois A. Keller, 100, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, passed away on August 1, 2024, at Senior Suites. She was born June 16, 1924, in Barton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles and Katherine Untermoser Griffiths. Lois was married 41 years to the late Stanton L. Keller. She was a member of the Barton Methodist Church until its closing.
Lois was a cosmetologist, owning and operating her own salon, Lois Anne's Beauty Salon, in St. Clairsville for many years. She then became a real estate agent for Busack Realty, earning top sales agent honors many times and not retiring until she was in her 70's. She was an avid quilter and baker.
Lois was a past Worthy Matron of the St. Clairsville Chapter #510, Order of Eastern Star and she was a member of the P.E.O. International Organization.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanton L. "Pete" Keller; a son, Stanton L. Keller Jr; sisters, Norma Merritt and Gwendolyn Carter; and a brother, Maurice Griffiths.
Lois is survived by her sons, Charles William (Carole) Keller of Bloomingdale, Ohio and Thomas Craig (Nancy) Keller of Eutawville, South Carolina; a sister, Katherine Moravick of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren; great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
The family wanted to thank the wonderful staff of Senior Suites of St. Clair Commons for their care and to Southern Care Hospice.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, with Pastor Bill Wendell officiating. The burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
Memorial scholarship contributions may be made in Lois's name to the Chapter E.B. P.E.O., C/O: 106, Border Lane, St. Clairsville, OH 43950.
