Loas Ann Lyons McGaughy, 95, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died peacefully surrounded by her family on December 9, 2018 at Liza's Place in Wheeling.

She was born January 6, 1923 in Martins Ferry, Ohio a daughter of the late Albert and Ida Hancock Smith.

Loas was a loving mother and grandmother. She was retired from Riesbeck's Food Market in St. Clairsville and a member of the Centerville Senior Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard F. Lyons, her second husband, T. Paul McGaughy and a brother, Walter Smith.

Surviving are her son, Jeff (Mary) Lyons of St. Clairsville, two grandchildren, Jeffrey L. Lyons Jr. (Brittney) and Holly A. Lyons, a stepdaughter, Natalie Petschauer and three step grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tom Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Weeks Cemetery, Bridgeport, Ohio.
