Linda Lou Zavacky, 76, of St. Clairsville, OH died Thursday, January 13, 2022, at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH.  She was born November 17, 1945, in St. Clairsville, a daughter of the late Michael and Helen Cory Cheroka.

Linda was a retired secretary from the St. Clairsville-Richland School District Bus Garage in 2005 and a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church and Captina Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star #489.

Linda loved spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and stepfather, Cosmo (Coke) D'Angelo, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam J. Zavacky in 2019; a grandson, Dominick "Dom" Nardo; a brother, Michael Cheroka.

Surviving are two daughters, Lynette (Jon) DeBertrand and Janelle (Tony) Nardo both of St. Clairsville; a grandson, Jacob DeBertrand; her mother-in-law, Kathryn Zavacky of St. Clairsville; a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Stanley Kolanski.

A special thanks from the family to East Ohio Regional Hospital Nursing staff and Dr. Jeremy Edgmon for the special care given to mom.

As per her wishes, no visitation or services are planned.
