Ayres, Linda Sue Parish, 66 of Maynard, Ohio died Saturday, June 15, 2013 at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry.

She was born September 19, 1946 in Martins Ferry, a daughter of the late Joseph Parish and Iona Siple Parish Conner.

Linda was a retired bartender from Buck's and Trudy's bar in Maynard, a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Maynard, and member of the Maynard Sportsman's Club.

She was a loving and giving person who always put the needs of others before her own.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Gene Ayres; brothers, David "Zubb" Parish, Ronald Parish, Kenny Parish, and Louis Parish; a grandson, Jonathan Ayres.

Surviving are her three children, Lisa (Brian) Shepherd Nelson, Troy Ayres, and Susan Ayres all of Maynard; brothers, Robert (Barbara) Parish of Maynard, Charles Parish of Flushing, and Joseph (Millie) Parish of Adena; sisters, Marie Shaffer of Kinsman, Donna (Andy) Mistak of Lafferty, and Shirley DePasquele of St. Clair Shores, MI; sister-in-law, Elsie Parish of Maynard; three grandchildren, Klaudia Ayres, Logan J. Klug, and Alexis Hines.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Fr. Thomas Graven officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Maynard Volunteer Fire Department.

Family and friends are invited to a dinner served at the Maynard Fire Department following the committal service at the cemetery.
