Limpford "Lindy" R. Usenick, 83, of Glencoe, Ohio died Monday, September 26, 2016 at home. He was born November 8, 1932 in Glencoe, Ohio son of the late Lawrence and Fadie Saffell Usenick.
Lindy was retired from Consolidation Coal Company's McElroy Mine and co-owner of Jean's Carry-Out in Glencoe. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Army and a member of Weyer Lodge #541 F. & A.M. in Centerville.
In addition to his parents, Lindy was preceded in death by sister, Sylvia Marie Smith; an infant sister; a brother, Gerald L. Usenick Sr.; a son-in-law, Ghee Macy and a granddaughter, Michelle Johnson.
Lindy is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Verla Jean Boston Usenick; seven children, Michael (Jody) Usenick, Cheryl (Scott) Merkins, James (Anita) Usenick, Denny (Cindy) Usenick, William (Darlene) Usenick, Steven (Heather Campbell) Usenick and Theresa (Steve) Stanley; a brother, Lawrence "Buck" Usenick Jr.; Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio where services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Ray Benesh officiating. Interment follows in Warnock Cemetery.
Military Honors will be conducted Thursday in the cemetery by the Belmont County Veteran's Association. Masonic Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 8:45 p.m.
