Lillie E. Sterms, 84, of Lafferty, Ohio, died December 18, 2017 in Wheeling Hospital. She was born August 16, 1933 in Woodsfield, Ohio a daughter of the late Charles Wilson Curry and Margaret Friday Curry. Lillie was a retired employee of Park Health Center and she was a member of Lafferty VFD. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Sterms; her 17-year companion, Emilio "Chuffy" Dalpiaz; a grandson Ryan Ferguson; a sister, Martha Jane and brother, Carl C. "Sonny". Surviving are three sons, Larry (Debbie) Ferguson of Cadiz, Ohio, Kenny (Sue Ellen) Ferguson of Athens, Ohio, and Sam (Suzanne Duill) Ferguson of St. Clairsville; stepchildren, Mickie (Mark) Fluharty, Dennis Dalpiaz and Matt Dalpiaz; a sister, Linda (Alan) Wilson of New Athens, Ohio; several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 2 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. with Pastor Mark Fluharty officiating. Private interment will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Lafferty. Memorial contributions may be made to the Belmont County Animal Shelter.
