Lillian June Capalingo, 80 of Canton, Ohio died Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Aultman Hospital.

She was born April 27, 1928 in St. Clairsville, Ohio, daughter of the late Clyde Johnson and Julia Hudock Johnson.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wolfhurst, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Capalingo; a son, Ronald Capalingo; brothers, Joseph Francis Johnson, John David "Lincoln" Johnson, Philip Lee Johnson; sisters, Priscilla Dalto and Dorothy Kalo.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Wilfred "Barbara" Mazeall of Canton, Ms. Linda Nguyen Capalingo and Ms. Nancy Capalingo of Blaine; three sons, Joseph (Becky) Capalingo of Canton, Phillip (Denise) Capalingo of Bridgeport, and Timothy (Tammy) Capalingo of Tiltonsville; brothers and sisters, Francis (Donna) Johnson of Lansing, Timothy (Charlotte) Johnson of Carrollton, Jerry Johnson of St. Clairsville, Robert (Wanda) Johnson, Melba (Isabelle) Robison, and Judith (Jerry) Manukin of Lansing; 20 grandchildren, including a granddaughter, Sergeant Amanda Capalingo of the 410th Army Military Police serving at Ft. Hood, TX.; 46 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Wolfhurst with Father John Mucha the celebrant. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.

A vigil service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
