VanHorn, Lewis Raymond, 73, of Belmont, Ohio died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born in Morristown, Ohio on July 31, 1938 son of the late Frank Chessel VanHorn and Ida Margaret Skaggs VanHorn.
Lewis was retired from R. & F. Coal Company. He was a Protestant by faith, served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Belmont Better Hunting and Fishing Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian "Carol" Kinney VanHorn; a brother, Thomas Milton VanHorn; and a sister, Wilma Jean Kemp.
Lewis is survived by two daughters, Debra (Keith) Brownfield of Barnesville, Ohio and Kellie Wells of Belmont, Ohio; two sons, Jeffrey Lewis VanHorn of Morristown, Ohio and Patrick Kevin VanHorn of Georgia; two brothers, Harry VanHorn and Donald VanHorn both of Barnesville, Ohio; a sister, Evelyn Carter of St. Clairsville; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, Ohio on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Wayne Clark officiating.
Burial will follow in Chestnut Level Cemetery, Belmont.
