Lewis Eugene "Shep" Sheppard, 78, of St. Clairsville died Friday April 20, 2018.

He was a 1958 graduate of Barnesville H.S. and a retired lineman for South Central Power Co.

He was born Sept. 17, 1939 in Sewellsville, Ohio, son of the late Lewis and Virginia Sheppard.

Shep loved spending time with his family, hunting, and fishing.

Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Janice I. Sheppard, his two brothers Dean (Susie), Donny (Marna), and his children Jill Sheppard (Jeff Baran), Lisa (Charles) DeClemente, Joan Sheppard (Dave Rutter) and John (Sandy) Sheppard, grandchildren Gregory, Dylan, Marco, Marissa, Johna, Molly, Tess, and Jessica, great-grandchildren Connor, Kenzie, and Amelia. also several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Sunday, April 22 from  12 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville. Service with Rev. Wayne Ickes officiating at 3 p.m.

Burial will be at Hope Cemetary, Hendrysburg, Ohio.
