Obituary

PALMER, Lester William Jr., 66, formerly of Centerville, Ohio died Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at home in Newark, Ohio.

He was born March 1, 1945 in Jacobsburg, son of Wilma Mary Wiggins Palmer and the late Lester W. Palmer Sr.

Lester was a retired employee from Ormet Corporation. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 626 in Bellaire and American Legion.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel-Jo Wilson Palmer; a son, Timothy Scott Palmer; and two brothers, David and Charles Palmer.

Surviving are his mother, Wilma Palmer of Shadyside; his children, Erin Donato of Jacobsburg; Darryl (Margaret) Palmer of Shadyside and Chris (DeLisa) Palmer of Newark; two brothers, Jack Palmer of Jacobsburg and Edward Palmer of Alledonia; a sister, Mary Schramm of Shadyside; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., where services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens at Pleasant Grove.

Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Council of VFW's at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
