Leslie Curry, 77, of Jacobsburg, OH went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 19, 2018.

Les was born and raised near Ragland, WV, the youngest son of Rachael (Hall Curry and Boyd W. Curry.

As a young man, Les grew to love the outdoors.  He was right at home with a fishing pole or a shot gun in hand, roaming the hills of southern West Virginia.

In 1958 Les married the love of his life, Nancy E. Rice. Les and Nancy moved north to Ohio where they raised a family of four… daughter, Regina and three sons, Melvin, Randy and Steve all of Belmont County, OH and the later addition of four grandchildren, Kaden Porter, Ezra Bennett, Julie Basich and Clinton Curry and 15 great grandchildren.

As a loving husband and father, Les wore many hats… he was a coal miner, outdoorsman, little league baseball coach, a music enthusiast, our family counselor and family referee. However, his most honorable would be "Family Man."

Les was preceded in death by his parents, wife Nancy, seven brothers, Calvin, Lem, Brady, Simon, Obie, Kenny and Fill Curry and seven sisters, Cila, Betty, Nancy Jane, Melda, Naomi, Dorothy and Tennessee Curry.

Les was a member of the Church of Christ and proud member of the United Mine Workers of America.

Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Sunday from 4 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. with Josh Hetrick officiating.  Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
