Leota M. VanCuren, 83, of Flushing, Ohio, died July 17, 2007 at Crestview Nursing Home in St. Clairsville.
She was born February 15, 1924 in Holloway, Ohio a daughter of the late Leo and Birdena Wilson Ranville.
Leota was a member of the former Flushing Presbyterian Church and a member of the former Flushing Chapter # 369, O.E.S. and current Freeport Chapter # 319, Order Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester D. VanCuren.
Surviving are her three daughters, Sue (Dick) Fenstermaker Westerville, Ohio and Venice, Florida, Janet (Tom Bowers) VanHorn of Columbus and Peggy (Jim) Kidd of Flushing; seven grandchildren, Robert (Michelle) Fenstermaker of Delaware, Ohio, Paul (Cindy) Fenstermaker of Columbus, Ohio, Genia (Kirk) Hardin of Scottsdale, Arizona, Tim Owings of Westerville, Ohio, Brian (Darla) VanHorn of Grandview, Ohio, Jamie (Brent) Gay of Flushing and Lori (Robin) Snyder of Covington, Ohio; 14 great grandchildren and a brother, Bernard Ranville of Holloway.
Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. with her grandsons, Robert and Paul Fenstermaker officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing. There will be Eastern Star Services held on Friday at 7 p.m.
