Leonard Gilliam, 83 of St. Clairsville died Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Heartland Nursing Home in Lansing.
He was born October 10, 1924 in Warwood, a son of the late Emmett and Beatrice Bailey Gilliam.
Leonard was a retired computer analyst for the Social Security Administration and an Army veteran of WWII & the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Pauline and Margaret; a brother, Ernest.
Surviving are children, Melvetta Biggers of Martins Ferry, Leonard Gilliam, Jr. of Wheeling, Gwendolyn Gilliam of Georgia and Lenora of Baltimore; a sister, Willie Mae Black of Columbus; 9 grandchildren, 11 great Grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from noon until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home St. Clairsville with Pastor James Agnew officiating. Burial follows in Stone Church Cemetery, Elm Grove, WV.
