Leona E. "Granny" Carson, age 79, of Bellaire, died Monday, July 5, 2004 at Park Health Center, St. Clairsville. She was born March 13, 1925 at Bellaire, daughter of the late Frank Myers and Gussie Lucas Myers.

In addition to her parents, Leona was preceded in death by two daughters, Kathy Sue Schramm and Patty Ann Moodispaw; three brothers, Paul, Clarence and Charles Myers; and three sisters, Audrey Hurst, Alice Jackson and Ethel Garrett.

Surviving are her husband, Tom E. "Zeke" Carson; a son, Tommy L. (Debbie) Carson of Bellaire; two daughters, Cindy (Mick) McGuire of Neffs and Gloria (Glen) McEndree of Bridgeport; two sisters, Pauline Hess of St. Joe and Martha Neff of Glencoe; 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2004 at 1 p.m., with Rev. Robert Glasgow officiating. Burial will follow at Warnock Cemetery, Warnock, Ohio.
