ARN, Leona Vivian Small, 89, of Bellaire, went home to Heaven Sunday, March 16, 2014.
She was born in Silush, West Virginia, on October 22, 1924, daughter of the late Albert William Small and Anna Mae Hall Small.
She was proud to be one of the first women to work for Wheeling Steel. She enjoyed crocheting, working in her yard and her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, James Glasgow; a sister, Velma Jean Poole; two grandsons, David Wayne Marlin and Herbert Roy "Fonz" Bennington III; and a very special friend, Bill Heatherington.
She is survived by her eight children, Judy (Joe) Long, Nancy (Larry) Brandon, Bertie (Herb) Bennington, Gloria Arn, Marian Masters, John (Marcia Palmer) Arn, Roger (Sarah Palmer) Arn and Barbara Berry; 18 Grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 28 great great grandchildren; and a sister, Marian "Pat" Sanders.
Private family services and burial were held with Rev. Jeff Lewis officiating.
Arrangements entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
