Lelia Higgins, 71, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024 at her home.  She was born October 2, 1952 in Wellsville. Ohio, a daughter of the late Alfred and Edith Wooley Higgins.

Lelia was retired correctional officer for the Northern Regional Jail and Correctional Center and a member of the Church of Christ in Pine Grove.  She enjoyed going thrift shopping, bingo, craft fairs and working puzzles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; a step sister, Roberta Dornacker.

Surviving are her children, Tia (Barry) Moll of Owensboro, Kentucky, William (Tammy) Hayes of Enterprise, West Virginia and Joshua (Lynn Clemons) Hayes of Wheeling, West Virginia; her companion, Rich Ingram; siblings, Terry Higgins, Ralph Higgins, Carl Higgins, Charlotte, Aurelia and Michelle; step sisters, Sharon Yoho and Terri Yoho; four grandchildren, William Simms, Sunne Johnson, Hannah Johnson and Vanessa Hayes; two great grandchildren, Oliver Hendricks and Emma Hendricks.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 10 am until time of funeral services at 12 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville with Chaplain Kris Bright officiating.  Final arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family.
