Leigh Anne Miric, age 62, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Born on February 5, 1962, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, she was the beloved daughter of the late George and Stella Miric.

Leigh always loved children, which guided her decades-long career as a Speech Therapist in the West Palm and Pompano Beach School Districts of Florida. There, she worked with students of all ages, helping them find their voices. After a stroke in 2016, Leigh returned to the Ohio Valley, where she strengthened bonds with her family and cultivated meaningful new friendships, most notably with her own Speech Therapist, Leslie Adamsky, who she considered a dear friend.

Throughout her life, Leigh cherished her visits to New York City, where she adopted her first pup, Tiffany, enjoyed tea at the iconic Russian Tea Room, and even crossed paths with a few of her favorite celebrities. An ardent fan of Cher, she took joy in her album collection and would light up anytime one of her songs played on the radio or in a film. Leigh also had a love for sports, particularly football and basketball, often watching games with her nephew, Patrick.

Leigh is survived by her devoted sister, Jane Marie Miric of St. Clairsville; her nephews Eric (Sarah) Abboud, Benjamin Abboud, and Patrick Abboud; her niece, Sarah Abboud; and her cherished great-nieces, Arielle, Mary, Elizabeth, and Lucille Abboud.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 2-7 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where a funeral service will be held at 7 pm, officiated by Fr. Thomas Chillog. Leigh will be laid to rest beside her beloved parents in a private entombment at Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to St. Jude's, honoring Leigh's enduring love for children.
