Obituary

Herbert "Lee" Taylor, 79 of Key, Ohio died Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry.

He was born April 17, 1927 in Key, Ohio. A son of the late Herman John Taylor and Lucy McKelvey Taylor.

Lee was a life long resident of Belmont County as well as a life long member of Belmont Presbyterian Church, a World War II Navy veteran, member of the Shadyside American Legion, a retired farmer and employee of Belmont Casket Company in Shadyside.

Lee enjoyed his membership at the Centerville Senior Center where he was an avid 42 and euchre player. He was a great story teller and happiest when surrounded by family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, William Taylor, Alma Montgomery, Laura Decker, George Taylor, Robert Taylor, Frazier Taylor and Charles Taylor.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Naomi Palmer Taylor; children, Connie Twedt (David) of Wardensville, West Virginia., Philip Greg Taylor (Cheri) of Lamar, Indiana, Samra Mazzulli (Kenny) of Key, Ohio, Lisa St. John (Bob) of Safety Harbor, Florida, Linda Smith (Scott) of Dunedin, Florida; sister, Mary Taylor Brown Webber of Key, Ohio; grandchildren, Amanda New Wright, Ryan New, Adam Cetorelli, Heather Love, Lacey Smith, Chelsea St. John, Philip Taylor, Jordan St. John, Taylor Smith Kendra Smith; great grandchild, Ryan Love; many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg where services will be held Saturday, July 1, at 11 a.m. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
