Blinco, Lawrence Jr. "Larry", 63, of St. Clairsville, died Tuesday morning, Jan. 12, 2010 in Wheeling Hospital.
He was born Dec. 13, 1946 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, son of the late Lawrence and Olive Freer Blinco.
Larry was raised in Weirton, W.Va. and became a retired Sergeant Major serving over 22 years in the U.S. Army. He served valiantly and most notably as a "Ghostrider" in a helicopter assault capacity during the Vietnam War, eventually, serving for an extended period of time in South Korea. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah?s Witnesses in St. Clairsville.
Surviving are his wife, Malnam Kim Blinco; two sons, David (Ashley) Blinco of Bethesda and Patrick Blinco and his fiancé Rachel Fox of St. Clairsville; a grandson, Ethan Blinco; two brothers, Thomas George Blinco of Charleston, W.Va. and Robert Lee Blinco of Shadyside.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville from 4 p.m. until time of services at 8 p.m. with John Long officiating.
